The club

A crowd that kept coming back

Colorado Charlie opened in 2017 as a beach club on the Dutch coast and built its programme around house and techno. It now runs around 40 of its own shows a season. In 2026, 34 of them sold out.

The opportunity was already in the venue: regulars who came back, brought their friends and built the buzz around every show. Colorado Charlie gave those fans a bigger part to play.

The challenge

Momentum you only get once

For a club, every weekend matters. Colorado Charlie was filling the room and staying relevant, but wanted to sell out more of its programme, earlier.

Regulars were coming more often. They brought friends who had never been, and those friends came back with friends of their own. That momentum could carry the club forward, but it needed a structure that would last beyond the initial buzz. Colorado Charlie started an ambassador programme with Innercrowd.

The approach

From spreading the word to selling out the room

The programme opened to the regulars who were already bringing friends. Each ambassador received a personal code and ticket link, so a friend could buy a discounted ticket while their interest in a night was still fresh.

The ticketing integration attributes each sale to the ambassador who made it. Points land automatically, and ambassadors can exchange them for free tickets, drink vouchers and backstage access.

Bringing friends became a way to earn more nights at their favourite club. Colorado Charlie could recognise the people behind each sale and reward them without manually counting their contributions.

Strategy and results

Three decisions behind the growth

Colorado Charlie focused its ambassador programme on the nights, release moments and recruitment opportunities where its community could make the biggest difference.

Point sellers at the nights that need selling

In 2026, ambassadors sold tickets for 31 of roughly 40 shows. Opening weekends and the biggest bookings were deliberately left out because they sold on their own. Sales quests supported the nights that needed them.

Open the sale to the community first

Thirteen shows had ambassador-only pre-sales. Several sold out before the public sale opened. The night with LAMMER, Kendal b2b Spacer Woman and 22 Interns sold out within the first hour, entirely through the community.

growth in active ambassadors

Recruit when nobody can get in

After opening weekend 2026 sold out instantly, Colorado Charlie invited fans who missed out to become ambassadors and earn tickets throughout the season. The active group grew from 230 to 463 ambassadors.

The takeaway

Your best sellers are already in the room

Colorado Charlie caught a moment of momentum and gave its regulars the tools to build on it: a code of their own, access to pre-sales and rewards for bringing friends.

Among ambassadors who sold tickets, sales per person rose from 15 in the first cycle to 27 in the second. Meanwhile, the top ten sellers’ share fell from 38% to 33%. More people were contributing to the result.

With ambassadors focused on the shows that needed them, the programme contributed 12,310 ticket sales in a season with 34 sold-out nights.
